About Us
Krisily and Taylor met in 2019 line-dancing, and yes we mean country line dancing. Almost religiously, once a week along with our closest friends, we would go to a local bar and country line dance all night long. We had a lot in common, but we are also very different. It wasn’t until Taylor joined our annual girls trip to Florida with our line dancing tribe in 2024 that the we fully understood the genuine friendship that grew out of completely needing out together at Disney and Universal Studios. Krisily’s love of STAR WARS and their combined obsession with HARRY POTTER led to all things NERD. Movies, books, music, fairs, Comic-cons, TV shows and line dancing…nothing is off limits to us, we are just Two Country Nerds, nerding out together.
Krisily Fernstrom
Krisily Fernstrom is a self professed nerd whose passion for the entertainment industry pours into her work. With over two decades of experience, both in front of and behind the camera, her experience brings both fun and thoughtful insight as a journalist, moderator and host. The former Miss RI USA, actress and reality TV show star, traded in her tiara for a microphone to host popular shows like AMC MovieTalk which allowed her to sit down with Hollywood Heavyweights. Krisily is a contributor to sites like Moviefone and her love of pop-culture, TV and film shine through her conversations on stage at different Comic-Con’s throughout the country and in one on one interviews.
A proud wife, former dog mom, IVF Warrior, artist, hunter, line dancer and future farm owner’s life is a complete and utter oxymoron and she wouldn’t have it any other way.
From gowns to guns, line dancing to hunting, music to movies, or books to TV, Krisily has an opinion and favorite and is not afraid to share it. Lover of all things fantasy, her lover of Horror came much later in life, thankfully she has Taylor to set her up for success!
Taylor Nicholas
While Taylor may be new to podcasts and Comic-cons, she is no stranger when it comes to being a nerd. Her love of all things fantasy and pop culture is literally inked in her skin. Taylors love of the horror genre shines in her extensive knowledge of all things spooky, whether it came out last year or is from 1922, chances are she has seen it. She fell in love with reading because her nana started reading the HARRY POTTER books to her when she was 5! When it comes to movies, for Taylor, it’s everything about them, from filming to editing to special effects it’s all just so intriguing how it all comes together. Her favorite color is orange. Pizza is one of her favorite things in the world and she is a proud dog and cat mom! Her first concert was Shania Twain when was 7.
